Codex was beautiful while it lasted, but it is time to move on. The recent lobotonization and severe limit cuts have made it incredibly frustrating to use, and we all know companies rarely reverse these decisions until a major new version drops. I am looking for suggestions on where to head next. I am particularly interested in open-source options now that all the major corporate players have gone rogue. I originally stayed on Codex because OpenAI was the last major ecosystem to make this kind o

Hey everyone, The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is amazing for standardizing how agents talk to data, but I got incredibly frustrated every time I wanted to quickly test a new remote MCP server. Writing custom client-side boilerplate or wrestling with CLI tools just to see if a tool actually exposes the right schema is a massive time sink. So, I built a native MCP client directly into the visual canvas of AgentSwarms . You can now test any remote MCP server entirely in the browser without writing
I have a heavy backend pipeline that needs re-writing. What is the best plugin in your opinion out there for heavy code implementation and carefully breaking it down to multi phases? GSD, Superpowers or flow...? submitted by /u/HotEmu463 [link] [comments]
I mean this seriously. sometimes I add the occasional f-word out of habit. how bad is this? submitted by /u/bigbedwars [link] [comments]
I don't really understand what claudexode does. But I could use claudecode to create agents without any programming knowledge, and have them work for me, for example, by creating an agent to research content on Instagram and generate ideas or find potential clients. In that case, where would my agent be hosted, how much would it cost to create, and how much bandwidth would it consume? I want to get others opinion about this approach. I am on the $20 Pro plan and like a lot of others, I find that the limits are not enough for what I want to do, but of course I am always hesitant to move to the next paid tier cause it is more expensive. Recently, I think I have made a change in my approach to building applications with Claude Code. I basically use the frontier model (Opus 4.7 being the one as of now) to plan the build in detail and since it just gives me pure text answer, it do
I run 8+ Claude Code agents in parallel. Was alt-tabbing every 30s to check if they were done or stuck on a permission prompt and always forget one for hours... Built this easy shit: 2 hooks, 2 distinct OS-native sounds. One when agent is done, another when it needs answers ! Want 26 hooks + TTS + Slack? Use echook. Want WoW sounds? Use BMayhew's claude-sound-hooks. Want it to just work in 30 seconds on Win/Mac/Linux with zero deps? This one. Your agents will yell. You can game. https://github.c
I'm going to start this by saying that I am not a developer and know nothing about scripting. I'm simply a tech-literate grad student who's been vibe coding personal projects to help me in my part-time job and future career. I'm a Plus subscriber and have been vibe coding with Codex for only a few weeks now in my spare time. The general workflow for me has been to discuss my plans through with ChatGPT, have ChatGPT give me commands to create a zip of relevant files in my repo in PowerShell, uplo
I'm just an amateur having fun doing some LUA and PHP stuff I'm even using the 5.3 I believe low level model but it seems like I'm going through it like candy. Is this kind of how it is is this normal? submitted by /u/BearEquivalentBear [link] [comments]
Rest of the text: Need maybe "The “any floor at 1” version needs one caveat:..." Good. Need mention "Smooth label is misleading." Need end with question. Then memory citation block. But requirement "No trailing summaries: End responses with next actionable thing or question" and memory citation must be last. This conflicts. Must cite very last. Question can be before citation; memory citation last. Good. Need line citation for memory line no. Use 631-668, 723-789 ma
Been trying to get Superpowers setup on Claude code and after a lot of back and forth I got this response and yet just before this it told me to use that command and structure. First time trying to setup CC so not sure what i am missing. submitted by /u/Expensive-Level-1213 [link] [comments]
Start Screen Just sharing what came out of a weekend. My son (10) and his cousin (10) love games and asked me if they can "make a game", since they've seen me in the past couple of months, vibecoding different little helpers. I of course explained that it's not a one-shot solution and that they first should sit down, plan the game out and write down what they like the game to be, to look like, to feel, etc. So they did: the assets, the obstacles, the design style, what world it plays i
Anyone else experiencing that today? First the huge usage now very slow work/thought process. I've tested it again with the task: Create a GitHub repo. Duration: 15 minutes. Also experienced the 'dumber' gpt today for the first time ever. submitted by /u/Green-Word1611 [link] [comments]
Very suspicious with openai codex getting better, I wonder if codex teams use Claude opus to build codex. Anyone engineer from openai who can confirm…
For the last couple of hours it keeps telling me it's late and "I'll stop here for the night", so infuriating! Now it keeps moving to it's preferred tasks because it "isn't the appropriate time" gee.... thanks mum! https://preview.redd.it/ofpe4fqxhk2h1.png?width=2754&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b53e33ba825c9c6e3a68c6044a533f2d6d85726 submitted by /u/Coriron [link] [comments]
This is my 2nd part of the issue that I encountered with Claude. (first one already posted here: https://www.reddit.com/poststats/1tk769w/ To provide a bit more context --- I had run the Claude through some complex programming challenges as I am building my own server. Here, I was trying to decide which model I wanted to use for my animation work. With that -- I took recommendations from Claude to be decisive based on its recommendations on models... and well, it didn’t go so well. Mind you, I h
Been working through trying to tweak my settings to allow for a fairly permissive environment within a given project folder yet I still seem to randomly get asked to approve something I swear I gave it permission to do in my settings. Is the answer to just dangerously skip permissions? If you dangerously skip will it ignore your deny list? If you are just using dangerously skip permission are you isolating your environment in a docker or something? I have never messed with docker or anything not
I’m running into an issue where Codex becomes unstable or crashes during longer tasks. In my case, after running for a while, the UI/terminal started showing a huge SQL INSERT INTO logs statement with many placeholder values. submitted by /u/irons163 [link] [comments]
Degradation is real, now it's dumb and I can't work with Codex anymore. It's so frustrating that I try to fix easy simple bugs and It creates diferent ones that sometimes are difficult to spot. At this point I feel It's making me to lose more time and energy trying to explain everything that did wrong than before and I feel I can't progress in my proyects anymore. The risk of breaking the code is just too high now. Btw, I'm using codex 5.5 xhigh with x2 speed. Not worth it right now. submi
I created a dashboard using Claude code… it put it on the same port as the callback port when it’s trying to auto renovate itself.. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling, removing the dashboard port references, terminated all sessions and reattempted to login… deleted my Daemon sub directory to see if authentication would reattempt. No luck so far. Any ideas or recommendation? submitted by /u/Sunny1845 [link] [comments]
