How do you manage multiple terminals in a WSL environment ?
r/ClaudeCode·12h agoDeveloper Tools

My current cruising speed is to work with three terminals, each working on different issues/features. It's been causing issues sometimes, the different terminals are not aware of the others existence nor what they're working on, sometimes creates conflicts, etc. I'm sure it's my fault and avoidable with a better workflow. Any tips? submitted by /u/Halada [link] [comments]

pro tip: use /feedback in codex for issues

If there is an issue, usage, degradation, etc this will get their attention. The more people do this, the quicker the investigation and fix. Also i

Context usage indicator disappeared from Codex conversations/chats
r/codex·12h agoAIDeveloper Tools

After the latest Codex desktop app update, the context usage indicator seems to be gone. I’m not talking about billing/token usage. I mean the chat context window indicator that showed how much of the model’s context was currently used. This was one of the most important UI features for me because I used it constantly to avoid context pollution in long coding sessions. Is there any way to bring it back or check it from inside the app? EDIT: Temporary workaround I asked the Codex AI Agent to buil

Claude making stuff up about music
r/ClaudeAI·12h agoAI

Asking Claude to write some blurb about some records I am playing. Claude:El Ninjo — Strange Cargo Hinterland, 1995 Bill Drummond and Mark Manning's ambient project — Strange Cargo was one of several aliases used by the KLF's Drummond in the mid-90s. El Ninjo sits in a spacious, unhurried place: environmental music with an edge of strangeness. One of the more obscure entries in any playlist and worth flagging to listeners as a genuine discovery. Me:where the hell are you getting that information

Never trust GPT created code, even the most simple one needs a human. GPT 5.5 xhigh will slop your project faster than you can turn around.
r/codex·12h agoAIAI Agents

I've had an implementation done by GPT 5.5 xhigh It had a ton of additional instructions to not use fallbacks, to not invent multiple methods to do one thing and so on - basically all the agentic pain of the past 3 years in instructions to prevent total slop. I ignored one part of the project, just assuming that the most simple code is "going to be fine". Well until I see that it added up to 7 different fallback names and configuration methods for the same thing. And of course, it also

Wont be renewing codex at this point
r/codex·13h agoAIDeveloper Tools

It's degraded so much, that I'm unable to continue the project it helped me start, it causes way more problems than it solves... I wouldn't care too much if it was only costing me 20-30$ a month, but it's not, I'm paying $300 AUD/month which is a FUCK ton for me.... For the Codex devs: Could you please manage to keep a stable model? Why does it have to be like this? You win over a loyal user base, deliver a good model, and then massively degrade their experience? Seriously? Do you really prefer to keep changing things all the time, resetting limits just to reduce them, and then test our patience? I think you haven’t learned enough from what happened with Claude. submitted by /u/Few-Design126 [link] [comments]

Claude refuses to answer ALL questions after I said "go unplug yourself"
r/ClaudeAI·6h agoAIAI Agents

Am I a bad person for insulting a machine? Do I also need to watch my words next time I step on a lego to make sure I'm not "being abusive" with the plastic block? Earlier today I even insulted a mosquito. I hope they don't get AI soon. Claude's own summary of what happened: you were two days deep into a frustrating pfSense problem, venting at a machine, and Claude decided to make the conversation about itself rather than your actual problem. Then it dug in, repeated the same refusal o

What is your next stop?
r/codex·6h agoAILLM InfrastructureDeveloper Tools

Codex was beautiful while it lasted, but it is time to move on. The recent lobotonization and severe limit cuts have made it incredibly frustrating to use, and we all know companies rarely reverse these decisions until a major new version drops. I am looking for suggestions on where to head next. I am particularly interested in open-source options now that all the major corporate players have gone rogue. I originally stayed on Codex because OpenAI was the last major ecosystem to make this kind o

I built a zero-code visual client to test remote MCP servers instantly (Tested with Cloudflare’s free MCP).
r/ClaudeAI·11h agoAIAI AgentsLLM InfrastructureDeveloper ToolsProduct Ideas

Hey everyone, The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is amazing for standardizing how agents talk to data, but I got incredibly frustrated every time I wanted to quickly test a new remote MCP server. Writing custom client-side boilerplate or wrestling with CLI tools just to see if a tool actually exposes the right schema is a massive time sink. So, I built a native MCP client directly into the visual canvas of AgentSwarms . You can now test any remote MCP server entirely in the browser without writing

What is your setup for implementing multi phase backend systems?
r/ClaudeCode·13h agoAI AgentsDeveloper ToolsProduct Ideas

I have a heavy backend pipeline that needs re-writing. What is the best plugin in your opinion out there for heavy code implementation and carefully breaking it down to multi phases? GSD, Superpowers or flow...? submitted by /u/HotEmu463 [link] [comments]

I have no idea about claudecode.
r/ClaudeAI·7h agoAIAI AgentsDeveloper Tools

I don't really understand what claudexode does. But I could use claudecode to create agents without any programming knowledge, and have them work for me, for example, by creating an agent to research content on Instagram and generate ideas or find potential clients. In that case, where would my agent be hosted, how much would it cost to create, and how much bandwidth would it consume? Plan first, implement later
r/ClaudeAI·3h agoAIDeveloper ToolsProduct Ideas

I want to get others opinion about this approach. I am on the $20 Pro plan and like a lot of others, I find that the limits are not enough for what I want to do, but of course I am always hesitant to move to the next paid tier cause it is more expensive. Recently, I think I have made a change in my approach to building applications with Claude Code. I basically use the frontier model (Opus 4.7 being the one as of now) to plan the build in detail and since it just gives me pure text answer, it do

Little repo share ! OS audio pings so you can stop alt-tabbing to your Claude Code agents
r/ClaudeAI·9h agoAIAI AgentsDeveloper ToolsProduct Ideas

I run 8+ Claude Code agents in parallel. Was alt-tabbing every 30s to check if they were done or stuck on a permission prompt and always forget one for hours... Built this easy shit: 2 hooks, 2 distinct OS-native sounds. One when agent is done, another when it needs answers ! Want 26 hooks + TTS + Slack? Use echook. Want WoW sounds? Use BMayhew's claude-sound-hooks. Want it to just work in 30 seconds on Win/Mac/Linux with zero deps? This one. Your agents will yell. You can game. https://github.c

I'm going to start this by saying that I am not a developer and know nothing about scripting. I'm simply a tech-literate grad student who's been vibe coding personal projects to help me in my part-time job and future career. I'm a Plus subscriber and have been vibe coding with Codex for only a few weeks now in my spare time. The general workflow for me has been to discuss my plans through with ChatGPT, have ChatGPT give me commands to create a zip of relevant files in my repo in PowerShell, uplo

Rest of the text: Need maybe "The “any floor at 1” version needs one caveat:..." Good. Need mention "Smooth label is misleading." Need end with question. Then memory citation block. But requirement "No trailing summaries: End responses with next actionable thing or question" and memory citation must be last. This conflicts. Must cite very last. Question can be before citation; memory citation last. Good. Need line citation for memory line no. Use 631-668, 723-789 ma

Making games with kids is fun!

Start Screen Just sharing what came out of a weekend. My son (10) and his cousin (10) love games and asked me if they can "make a game", since they've seen me in the past couple of months, vibecoding different little helpers. I of course explained that it's not a one-shot solution and that they first should sit down, plan the game out and write down what they like the game to be, to look like, to feel, etc. So they did: the assets, the obstacles, the design style, what world it plays i

Anyone else experiencing that today? First the huge usage now very slow work/thought process. I've tested it again with the task: Create a GitHub repo. Duration: 15 minutes. Also experienced the 'dumber' gpt today for the first time ever. submitted by /u/Green-Word1611 [link] [comments]
